This Week At Renovation,
We are sprinting towards all the events we have been planning this Saturday and next week. That’s right SERVE DAY is this Saturday. Which wonderfully leads us directly to hosting the KAA Summer Kamp on our property. So a few things to know, Serve Day begins at 9:00a and will wrap up by 2:00p. We will be outside nearly the entire time, and considering Atlanta's love of hot weather, please bring all the necessary sunscreen and proper clothing. A few people have asked if there is any specific child care, there is NOT. However, all children who are able to are encouraged to take part in serving. When you arrive make sure to follow the people and signs towards the appropriate parking, as the property will have many things that are being set up for the block party in the afternoon.

SERVE DAY | JULY 16, 2022

Serve Day is a church-wide event where we have the opportunity to show our community the love of Jesus through what Jesus embodied; Service to Others. Renovation Church has a wonderful community in the Northwest that we want to love on and love well. July 16th, 2022 we will open our campus and go into neighborhoods serving those we encounter. You should expect the following:

There is a great deal in this world that we often delight in more than we do God. I know that to be the case for myself; forgive me if I am speaking out of turn concerning you. The reality is when we delight in lesser things over God, our hearts and minds get cloudy, and we cannot even rightly discern what it is we desire.
Inversely, when God is our great delight, and we embrace the wisdom of David's words, then either God will fulfil those dreams we have, or our hearts will shift toward even greater dreams because our desires will be more God-directed rather than me-directed.
Delight in God, and He Will Give You What You Desire.
The second life-giving principle comes from Proverbs, where we get to engage the words of David's favoured son, Solomon. The purpose of the book of Proverbs is stated right from the start: 'These are the wise sayings… Written down so we'll know how to live well and right… A manual for living, for learning what's right, just, and fair' (vv.1–3, MSG). It provides practical wisdom for everyone – both the 'inexperienced' and the 'experienced'.
In Proverbs, Solomon writes, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life." The first part of this Proverb is an observation about human nature. When something for which we hope is deferred, it isn't easy. It is hard on us.

KAA Summer Kamp | July 18-22
Kids Across America will be using our Water Place property to host a week-long summer camp. Each day the KAA staff will have organized sports and adventure activities for children ages 8-13. The summer camp is daily from July 18-22. This is an amazing opportunity for children to hear the Good News of Jesus and have a great time OUTSIDE!
